    In a small saucepan, melt butter

    Stir in half and half

  • 3

    Lightly crush peppercorns with the back of a spoon

    Add to sauce

  • 5

    Stir in lemon peel and salt to taste

    Cook over low heat, without boiling, until slightly thickened

    Toss with hot pasta

  • 8

    Serves 4.

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2/3 cup half and half
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons green peppercorns, drained
  • grated peel of 1 lemon
  • salt to taste
