    Peel avocados and cut into medium dice

  • 2

    Place in a strainer and rinse in cold water to retard color change

  • 3

    Transfer to a bowl and mash

  • 4

    Cut tomato in half crosswise and squeeze out the seeds

  • 5

    Remove the stem and cut into small dice

  • 6

    Finely mince the chili to make 1/2 teaspoon

  • 7

    Peel and mince the garlic. Remove cilantro leaves and mince

  • 8

    Add tomato, chili, garlic and cilantro to avocados along with lime juice and salt to taste.

  • 2 large ripe avocados
  • 1 tomato
  • 1/2 serrano chili
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 sprigs fresh cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • Salt to taste
