    Peel garlic and mince

    Stir garlic into olive oil with pepper

    Pour over sirloin and let stand 1 hour at room temperature. Season steak with salt and grill 6 to 8 minutes per side to desired doneness

    Let steak rest for 7 to 10 minutes before slicing across into thin strips

  • 5

    Serve steaks topped with Roasted Garlic Port Sauce.

  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 1-3/4 pounds top sirloin
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Roasted Garlic Port Sauce (see page 72)
